We strongly recommend you add these to your purchase of NSK Diamond Stones, as the construction and hardness of their diamond stone products makes them very resilient to other conventional flattening solutions.

The NSK Diamond Stone Round Flattening Plate is a #200 grit plate designed for use with the Kyokuha Series (though it can be used for any flattening application). Specifically, after using with the Kyokuha Series, we strongly recommend you follow up with the ‘resurfacing wafer’ included with each stone, to return the surface of your diamond stone to optimal. Additionally, it is very important to completely wash away any mud created during this process.

The NSK Diamond Stone Rectangle Flattening Plates are really unique in the world of sharpening tools, as they are produced in grits that match each grit available in the Hakuto Series. This allows for an exact pairing of your flattening plate to your diamond stone, letting you flatten and refresh the diamond stone’s surface at the same time, saving time and energy.
