This carbon steel oyster shank is fantastic for quick and precise shucking. Oftentimes, blunt tips from regular oyster knives break the shell and leave chips. This oyster knife, however, comes with a very sharp and pointed tip that can open hinges like a picklock with finesse. For first-time users, please do not use a lot of pressure or force to open the hinge of an oyster like you would with blunt oyster knife, as this can break the tip off (but we can repair it!).
